KMV organizes a webinar on Unravelling the future of Psychology in India

Jalandhar, March 29, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P.G Department of Psychology organized a webinar on “Unravelling the future of Psychology in India”. 

The resource person of this webinar was Dr. Shilpa Suri, Consultant Psychologist and Director, Psychology Planet and Co-Founder of SNM IAS Academy, Chandigarh. The main objective of this webinar was to create awareness among the students about various career avenues and opportunities available in the field of psychology. The students of UG and PG of Psychology enthusiastically participated in this webinar. 

During the webinar, Dr. Suri mentioned various career options in psychology such as teaching, research, counselling, clinical psychology, etc. She also informed the students about various exams such as UGC – NET / JRF, M. Phil GATE, GRE during their post graduation in order to enroll themselves in Ph.D in various prestigious colleges of India and abroad. She also suggested various psychology books to crack the various competitive examinations. 

Dr. Suri concluded the session by encouraging students to explore various different fields of psychology, so that, they can enhance their skills. Students also asked queries from Dr. Shilpa to which she responded eloquently. 

Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the PG Department of Psychology for conducting this insightful  webinar on this topic.
