KMV organises Youth Forum on ‘AI and Jobs: Opportunities and Challenges’

Jalandhar, September 8, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Chemistry organised a Youth Discussion Forum at Pushpa Gujral Science City to mark International Youth Day. The theme of the forum was “AI and Jobs: Opportunities and Challenges”.
Twenty students from various disciplines participated, engaging in meaningful deliberations on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the job market. They presented well-reasoned arguments on both opportunities and challenges of AI, highlighting issues such as job displacement, skill enhancement, and creation of new employment avenues.
The event aimed to sharpen students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills while providing insights into the future of work and the need to adapt to technological change.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the participants and emphasised that KMV is committed to organising such intellectually stimulating activities that promote creativity and leadership among students. She also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Manju Sahni, Head, PG Department of Chemistry, and Dr. Narinderjit Kaur for the successful organisation of the event.
