KMV organises workshop on problem solving and ideation

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised a workshop Problem Solving and Ideation. The workshop was organised by P.G. Department of Physics. The workshop was conducted by Er. Vishal Sharma, Project Scientist cum Chief Mentor Innovation Hub, Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. He said innovation is the creation of product and introducing process for the first time. He further elaborated the characteristics of creative persons and hence motivated students to think creatively and out of the box. He emphasised on the importance of innovation for modernization and sustainable development of society. He gave an example of scrap of box turned to air cooler, water bottle used as shower. He inspired students by giving the example of Bajaj Autos DTS-i- technology. He also supported his idea by comparing Samsung android technology versus conventional Nokia technology. He further said that one should have some knowledge of everything. He discussed about future technologies like robotics Space X, Flying bikes etc. He shared some innovative projects of other student members like smart bin, segregation of Bio degradable and non-biodegradable waste, BMI machine, Anti accidental system for unmanned Railway crossing, All weather Godown, Safe auto-rickshaw, old man blind stick etc. He also explained basic principles behind common natural phenomenon with the help of simulations, which grabbed the attention of students.The workshop was very interesting and informative and students were highly motivated to think logically. 

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that Innovation is the cornerstone of sustained economic growth and prosperity. She further maintained that Innovation means using new technology and using new ways of thinking to add value to an existing idea or product and to make substantial changes in the society. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of PG Department of Physics for organizing such an informative workshop.
