KMV organises webinar on plastic waste management

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya always organises various environment awareness activities for the students. During the Swachhta Pakhwara celebrations of the NCC sub unit attached to 2 Pb Girls BN NCC Jalandhar, the NCC unit of KMV along with Department of English & Department of NSS jointly organised a webinar on a very pertinent issue of Plastic Waste Management. 

Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi addressing the students averred that the issue of plastic waste management is one of the most important issue in today’s world. She further maintained that only through these activities students can be made responsible so that that they should understand their responsibility towards environment conservation in order to work towards the goal of Sustainable Development. 

Dr Ashima Sahni, Incharge NSS shared a PowerPoint presentation showcasing as how they are handling the plastic waste of the college. NCC cadet Pratiksha Kaushal shared her poem on this important topic. Cadet Vajinder also shared a short animation film on how to Manage Plastic Waste. Lt. Seema Arora, NCC incharge shared a PowerPoint presentation titled Reduce, Reuse & Recycle. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Lt. Seema Arora, Incharge NCC, Dr Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English & Mrs Ashima Sahni for successfully organising the webinar and also for motivating the students for plastic waste management.
