Jalandhar, April 9, 2206: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of English organised two engaging events—“Literary Characters Coming Alive” and an Extempore Program—to enhance students’ creativity and communication skills.
In the literary event, students portrayed iconic characters like Juliet, Ophelia, Jo March, Nora Helmer, Hermione Granger, and Jane Eyre, showcasing confidence and literary insight. The extempore competition featured students from various courses speaking on topics such as online vs. offline learning, ethics, communication skills, and climate change.
Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the participants and averred that both the programs proved informative, inspiring, and valuable in developing students’ academic and speaking skills. She lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English, Tanu Arora, Prabhjit Kaur, and Harvinder Kaur for successfully organising the events.
