KMV organises various competitions to celebrate National Mathematics Day

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya celebrated the National Mathematics Day to mark the 133rd birth anniversary of legendary Indian mathematician S. Ramanujan. 

On this event, an intra-college competition was organised with the theme Mathematics is Fun. Various students participated in many activities namely Sketch making, PowerPoint presentation, Poetical Recitation, Singing & Choreography competition. Students from B.Sc, B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics, M.Sc Mathematics participated in this competition with full zeal & enthusiasm. Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this kind of competition creates an interest in the students’ mind regarding their subject. She further motivated the students to pursue quality based research in their subjects. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Mrs Veena Deepak, Head, PG Department of Mathematics for successfully organising the event.
