KMV Organises Rakhi & Thali Making Competition to Celebrate Raksha Bandhan
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a Rakhi and Thali Making Competition to mark the celebrations of Raksha Bandhan. The event was jointly organised by the Department of Student Welfare with the aim of promoting awareness among students about the use of eco-friendly products.

Jalandhar, August 9, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a Rakhi and Thali Making Competition to mark the celebrations of Raksha Bandhan. The event was jointly organised by the Department of Student Welfare with the aim of promoting awareness among students about the use of eco-friendly products.
The competition featured categories such as eco-friendly and handmade rakhi making, as well as thali decoration. In the present scenario, where environmental hazards are increasingly affecting human health and well-being, this initiative received an overwhelming response from the students. Participants crafted beautiful rakhis using cereals, pulses, cotton, matchsticks, and other eco-friendly materials.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the participants for their skills, creativity, and valuable contribution to environmental conservation. She also lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare, along with the faculty members, for the successful organisation of the event.
