KMV organises news writing and article writing competition to celebrate National Press Day

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya celebrated National Press Day. The celebration was organised by PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication. In order to make the students understand about the significance of Press in a democratic nation like India, news writing & article writing competitions were organised on this occasion. In this competition, students of BJMC, MJMC, B.Voc(Photography & Journalism) & BA participated with full zeal & enthusiasm. Students wrote news stories pertaining to current issues & also prepared well framed articles on the theme of Challenges before Indian Press in present context & Print & Electronic Media in the age of Digital Media. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students on their achievements. She averred that press is the fourth pillar of our democracy and in the development of every democratic nation, the role of press is very important. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication for organising the event.
