Jalandhar, September 13, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Psychology, in collaboration with the Department of Student Welfare, KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organised a Mental Health Awareness Booth under the Buddy Programme.
The booth was organised to create awareness among students about mental health and the harmful impact of drug/substance use on psychological well-being. Students were sensitised to the ways in which drug use can affect emotional health, behaviour and overall functioning. A mental health check-up activity was conducted as part of the initiative, along with various fun and interactive mental health activities and games. These activities provided students with an engaging platform to learn about mental well-being, healthy coping and the importance of making responsible choices. The students participated enthusiastically and actively in all the activities.
Director Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the initiative successfully promoted awareness regarding mental health and the adverse effects of drugs, while encouraging students to adopt healthier and positive approaches towards their overall well-being.
