KMV organises Grand Welcome Fiesta for new students
Students acquainted about the new age progressive education provided by KMV

Jalandhar, July 29,2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) hosted a vibrant Welcome Fiesta to heartily greet its new students as they embark on their academic journey.
The event was a lively affair, filled with enthusiasm and joy, setting a positive tone for the new session. The highlight of the fiesta was the inspiring address by Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi. She delivered a highly motivating presentation titled ‘Waves of Change…Optimising Autonomy for Excellence’ that deeply resonated with the freshers. Her words encouraged students to embrace new challenges, strive for excellence, and make the most of the opportunities available at KMV. She emphasised the institution's commitment to holistic development and assured the new students of a nurturing and empowering environment. She added that they should not only develop their skills but also work on their overall personality to be successful and they should utilise their time for constructive purposes. She also assured them that KMV, like always, is providing umpteen placement opportunities to the students as recently students have been placed in USA and other countries at a very high pay packages. She also underscored the significant autonomy reforms implemented at KMV, designed to enhance academic freedom and foster a more dynamic and innovative learning environment. She elaborated on how these reforms including international credit system, skill component in every program, internal assessment, syllabi embedded internships, research projects and various examination reforms empower both faculty and students to tailor educational experiences to better meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global landscape. She also gave detailed information about the KMV legacy, the vision of KMV, the facilities available for students, on campus placements, infrastructure, showing student support system, value added programs being offered on the campus and the advantages of gaining autonomy. All these programmes are designed with the holistic development and growth of students in mind. Following the insightful address, the atmosphere transformed into a celebratory one. Students enthusiastically participated in various cultural performances, showcasing their talents and dancing with their peers. The campus buzzed with energy as students danced, enjoyed, and actively engaged in the festivities, fostering a sense of camaraderie and belonging. The Welcome Fiesta successfully served as an excellent ice-breaker, allowing new students to acclimate to their new surroundings and forge connections with their fellow classmates and the KMV family.
