KMV organises Creative Ventures to Boost Entrepreneurial & Employability Skills

Jalandhar, September 29, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always takes initiatives in organizing various informative programs to enhance knowledge and employability skills of the students. In continuation with these efforts, the P.G. Department of Retail Management organized a Stall Setup Activity (Creative Ventures: Innovation through Visual Merchandising) under the Retail Biz Bash Club – KMV Shopping Plaza.
The activity provided students of Bachelor of Vocation and Master of Vocation (Retail Management) with an opportunity to plan, organize and manage their own retail stalls in a practical business environment. The activity aimed to familiarize students with various aspects of retail operations, including stall planning, merchandise display, visual merchandising, product placement, pricing, customer handling, sales promotion and cash management. The activity also encouraged students to develop their entrepreneurial skills, creativity, communication abilities, teamwork and decision-making skills. Through direct interaction with customers, students learned how effective product presentation, attractive displays and proper customer service can influence buying behavior and enhance sales. The initiative further promoted the concept of “Earn While You Learn” by giving students practical exposure to managing retail activities.
Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the students and appreciated the efforts of the Head, Dr. Rashmi Sharma & Faculty of Retail Management, for providing students with meaningful practical exposure and guiding them towards entrepreneurship and a successful career in the retail sector. She also appreciated the department's efforts in successful running of Retail Management course.
