KMV offers telephone counselling for psychological well-being of society

Jalandhar: In the present crisis of COVID-19, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV) has commenced a new initiative of providing Tele-counselling for reducing the stress that people are facing during this Pandemic. Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that in the present times people are experiencing a lot of anxiety and stress of all kinds. The department of Psychology has taken the initiative of offering Tele counselling for psychological well-being of the society. This philanthropic service is the need of the hour as it is important to be mentally bouyant and positive to ensure physical health. This free of cost counselling has come to the benefit of all those who are worried in this time of crisis. Dr Radhika, Head, Department of Psychology maintained that the student these days are very apprehensive about their future. Under these unprecendented circumstances the students are worried about their exams and future. Thus, this telephone counselling has come to their rescue. Ms Pratima adumbrated that parents whose childeren are studying abroad are not only worried about their children’s well being but also experience anxiety, loneliness. Psychological counselling comes to their rescue. 
Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi maintained that this tele-counselling has been continuing for over a week now and many people have availed from it. She appreciated the efforts of teachers of PG Department of Psychology for this noble initaitive during these testing times. She further announced that this counselling will continue as long as this crisis doesn’t get over.
