KMV NCC unit conducts Civil Defence Preparedness and Mock Drill

Jalandhar, May 7, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) conducted a civil defence mock drill awareness lesson under the guidance of the 2 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC .The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets and students, who were briefed about the importance of blackout during air strikes and lecture was delivered by the ANO, Training Officers and senior NCC cadets. The cadets were told about modern relevance and operational procedures of blackout drill. Cadets were also briefed about immediate actions to be taken such as switching off all light sources, remaining calm, ensuring community safety and assisting vulnerable individuals like senior citizens and children.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Diwedi averred that KMV being a nationalistic institution always prepared students for diligent service to the Nation. She lauded the efforts of NCC Department for successfully organising the mock drill.
