KMV introduces M.Sc. Physics with Artificial Intelligence – A Brilliant Step Towards Future-Ready Education

Jalandhar, July 22, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), a pioneer in empowering women through quality education, proudly announces the launch of its new Postgraduate program – M.Sc. Physics with specialisation in Artificial Intelligence.
Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this forward-looking program integrates the core concepts of advanced physics with cutting-edge developments in artificial intelligence (AI), equipping students with interdisciplinary skills essential for research, innovation, and industry-driven careers. Designed to cater to the evolving demands of the global technological landscape, this course is among the first of its kind to be introduced at a women’s institution in the region. She further maintained that at KMV, we are committed to nurturing scientific temper and technological expertise among women. The introduction of M.Sc. Physics with AI reflects our vision of creating future-ready professionals who can excel in both theoretical knowledge and emerging tech applications. Moreover, the curriculum of the program has been carefully curated by a panel of academic experts and industry professionals, ensuring a robust curriculum that balances conceptual depth with practical exposure. It opens exciting career avenues in data science, quantum computing, research labs, AI-driven industries, and academia.
To further promote excellence in physics education and research, the department is inviting applications for M.Sc. Physics and M.Sc. Physics with specialization in Artificial Intelligence programs under the prestigious Darshana & Arun Varshneya Stipends for Excellence in Glass Science. These stipends are designed to support meritorious students and encourage advanced studies in one of the most promising areas of materials science. Under this scheme, students will be provided with 100% fee waiver (LIMITED SEATS) for M.Sc. Physics and M.Sc. Physics with specialization in Artificial Intelligence programs. In addition to the fee waivers, all students admitted under this initiative will be eligible for fully funded travel to attend national and international scientific conferences, providing them with valuable exposure to the global research community.
Prof. Dwivedi concluded by saying that these initiatives reaffirm KMV’s commitment to nurturing a generation of scholars and scientists who are prepared to lead with knowledge, creativity, and confidence in the global scientific arena.
