KMV introduces BBA in Airport and Airlines Management –  a first time in the Region

Jalandhar, August 10, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) is the pioneer college in the region to commence  new-age undergraduate program that is most contemporary and job-enabling. KMV, the trailblazing institution, has taken the lead in introducing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Airlines and Airport Management. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this new-age professional degree will improve the employability of students by focusing on outcome-based learning in airlines and airport management and active linkage between the higher education system and the aviation industry as well as commercial enterprises and organizations. 

Prof. Dwivedi further adumbrated that the educational reforms that have already been implemented at KMV are in sync with the New Education Policy as much focus is given on skill-based education at KMV. The Airline and Airport Management programs are the need of the hour and it will help the students to tread the path of self-reliance and empowerment. Students during the course of this program will make visits to International airports, and after the successful completion of their assessment, they will be awarded the degree by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. This internationally accepted program is also in high demand in foreign countries. Moreover, the curriculum for the above-mentioned program has been diligently designed by experts from the industry, the Airport Authority of India and academia in the field. The students joining this program will be trained on qualifications based on industry-identified job roles in the aviation and hospitality sectors, such as Cabin crew, Air hostesses, and ground staff at airports; Reservation executives; Cargo Operations executives; Airport Operations executives; Airport planners; Airport managers and directors; and global sales agents for airlines, with much focus on hands-on training and a practical component.
