Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has initiated International Series with the aim to exchange knowledge on contemporary issues by bringing international academicians on the platform of KMV. Continuing with the practice, P.G. Department of Commerce & Business Administration organised a webinar on “Challenges of The Business and Marketing During and After COVID Pandemic” under the Commerce Chapter of KMV International Series. Dr. Laszlo Jozsa, Professor, Faculty of Economic Sciences, Department of Marketing & Management, Szechenyi Istvan University, Gyor Hungary was the resource person for the webinar. More than 250 participants joined this online webinar with full zeal & enthusiasm. 

The inaugural address was given by worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi. She averred that the changes in education sector are taking place at a very fast pace and educational institutions must introduce new initiatives to be at par with international standards. Dr Laszlo commenced his session by introducing students to the culture of Hungary. In his talk, he highlighted the impact of COVID-19 pandemic and discussed the emergence of the pandemic and its spread all over the world. He explained the negative effects of pandemic on economies by sharing facts and figures with regard to reduction in GDP. He said that tourism, hotel, catering and luxury goods industry have been adversely affected and steps must be taken by government and society to overcome the challenges of pandemic. Along with the negative impact, he concluded with a positive note that pandemic has paved new ways for sectors like software development, online marketing, etc. The webinar was very interactive and informative and got an overwhelming response from students. The resource person addressed all the queries of the inquisitive participants very aptly and appropriately.  Mrs. Rashmi Sharma concluded the webinar and proposed a formal vote of thanks.
