Jalandhar, April 16, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) inaugurated a vibrant and informative Wall Magazine display titled “The Canvas of Indian English Literature”, celebrating the richness and diversity of Indian writing in English. The display was inaugurated by Atima Sharma Dwivedi, who emphasized that such creative academic activities provide students with a valuable platform to showcase their talent and imagination. The exhibition reflected the enthusiasm and hard work of students who decorated the board with visually appealing charts and literary insights.
The wall magazine highlighted the contributions of eminent writers such as Sarojini Naidu, Rabindranath Tagore, R. K. Narayan, Mulk Raj Anand, and Sudha Murty. Iconic works including Untouchable, The Guide, Train to Pakistan, and Tughlaq were featured, exploring themes of social justice, human values, and cultural identity. The play Silence! The Court is in Session by Vijay Tendulkar was also showcased, highlighting gender and societal issues. Prof. Dwivedi applauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet and the students for the successful presentation.
