KMV hosts Kendriya Vidyalaya Students to promote Vocational and Practical Learning
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) hosted students of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 under the Viksit Bharat Buildathon Programme of the Government of India for PM SHRI Schools.
Jalandhar, October 5, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) hosted students of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 under the Viksit Bharat Buildathon Programme of the Government of India for PM SHRI Schools.
The visit was organised to acquaint the students with the diverse vocational courses, practical learning opportunities, and career avenues available at KMV. It provided them with valuable exposure to various fields and helped them understand the relevance of hands-on learning in shaping their future careers. During the visit, the students explored different Skill Hubs and Skill Labs, gaining insights into various vocations and the employment opportunities associated with them. They also visited the Science Laboratories, Innovation Hub, and Computer Laboratories, where they saw the application of scientific knowledge, technology, and creativity in practical settings. The interactive exposure enabled the students to connect their classroom learning with real-world applications and broadened their understanding of emerging career possibilities.
Director Prof. Dr. Aima Sharma Dwivedi, congratulated the coordinators for organising such a meaningful and fruitful visit. She encouraged the students to actively engage in experiential learning and get practical competencies that can enhance their confidence, creativity, and career readiness. The visit reflected KMV’s commitment to experiential learning, innovation, and holistic education, in keeping with the vision of nurturing confident, capable, and future-ready youth for a Viksit Bharat.
