Jalandhar, May 6, 2017: At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the heritage institution, Jalandhar where new techniques are adopted readily & synchronized with the best from the past, the Dept. of Journalism & Mass Communication is ready to start a multi-camera production unit in the near future. Reputed T.V. Channel experts from across the nation have been recently consulted for the same. New set-up will be available in the latest video production techniques. In the session 2016-2017 in this regard Network 18 and Zee News network experts visited the Dept. of Journalism & Mass Communication. It is noteworthy that Zee T.V. Essal Group's Chairman Dr. Subhash Chandra also participated in the process of setting up the multi camera production unit. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi observed that with new & fresh advice from experts the multi-camera production unit will train the students simultaneously in multi-camera handling techniques. In addition from digital single reflex camera will also be installed which will teach students manual focus technique. This will be complimented with high definition lighting system. The fields in which students will gain expertise through this technique is product photography & Fashion photography. It is also worth mentioning that in the last session 25 students of the Dept. of Journalism & Mass Communication were trained from Asia's renowned Media Institute Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, New Delhi. During their training the students had also interacted with the media advisor of former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh. Principal Dr. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the Dept. on the upgradation.
