KMV commences series of celebrations to commemorate 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur 

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organized a slogan writing competition in order to commemorate the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. 
The competition was organized by the PG Department of Punjabi. More than 60 students participated in this competition with full zeal and enthusiasm. It is important to mention that in this series of celebration many activities have been planned by KMV namely quiz, webinar, essay writing competition & sketch making competition. 
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the participants and averred that it is very important that our young generation should follow the ideals of our great Gurus to get a positive direction in the life. She also lauded the efforts of Punjabi Department for successfully organizing the event. Dr Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English, Dr Rupika, Department of Hindi & Mr Yogeshwar Hans, Department of Fine Arts were the judges for the event. The winners for the competition were: 
1st Prize: Manpreet Kaur and Chetanjit Kaur
2nd Prize: Harpreet Kaur and Ruby
3rd Prize: Ankita Choudhary and Ankita Sharma
Consolation Prize: Navjot Kaur, Simranpreet Kaur & Sukriti Sharma
