KMV commences one month Faculty Development Programme on “Multidimensional Knowledge & Pedagogical Innovative Skills”
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) inaugurated its one month Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Multidimensional Knowledge & Pedagogical Innovative Skills”.
Jalandhar, November 27, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) inaugurated its one month Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Multidimensional Knowledge & Pedagogical Innovative Skills”.
The programme has been organised by the institution in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to foster academic excellence, enhance pedagogical competencies and enrich multidisciplinary knowledge among faculty members.
The inaugural session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, who addressed the faculty members with her visionary insights on the evolving academic landscape. Prof. Dwivedi during her address highlighted the importance of continuous professional development for educators and emphasized the need for innovation, adaptability and interdisciplinary understanding in teaching–learning processes. She motivated the faculty to actively engage in the upcoming sessions, which are designed to broaden perspectives and strengthen academic proficiency.
Following the inaugural address, the PG Department of Psychology conducted the first session of the FDP on the theme “Psychological Counseling for Students.” The session focused on understanding students’ emotional needs, identifying common psychological concerns in academic environments, and adopting counseling strategies that can help educators support students more effectively. The department elaborated on practical approaches to building trust, maintaining confidentiality and fostering holistic well-being among learners.
Prof. Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the IQAC and all participating departments for their commitment towards strengthening faculty capabilities and promoting a research-driven and student-centric academic culture. She further reiterated KMV’s dedication to offering new-age, value-added academic initiatives that uplift the overall educational environment. It is pertinent to mention that all the departments of KMV will give their presentations on their expertise and the best practices of their departments during this FDP.
The first day of the FDP concluded on an enthusiastic note, setting the tone for a month-long journey of learning, collaboration and pedagogical enrichment.
