KMV commemorates 140 years of academic excellence and landmark achievements with KMV Managing Committee 

Jalandhar, May 21, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) proudly celebrated 140 glorious years of its unparalleled contribution to women’s education and academic excellence with Arya Shiksha Mandal. The occasion marked yet another milestone in the institution’s illustrious journey of empowering women through quality education and creating remarkable benchmarks in academics, innovation and professional development. 
The celebrations commenced with a special gathering during the annual meeting where the Arya Shiksha Mandal led by Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal lauded the institution's relentless pursuit of academic excellence. Alok Sondhi, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Dr. Sushma Chopra, Suresh Seth, Neerja Chander Mohan, Dhruv Mittal, Anuradha Sondhi, Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi & Dr. S.P. Gupta were also present on the occasion. 
It is pertinent to mention that KMV has once again distinguished itself by securing Top National & State Rankings in the prestigious India Today, The Tribune and Outlook Magazine surveys. These accolades underscore KMV's commitment to delivering world-class education across diverse disciplines. Notably, KMV has been consistently recognised for its academic rigour, innovative pedagogy, and holistic development approach, securing top positions in various categories across Punjab and at the national level. These rankings are a testament to the dedication of the faculty, the hard work of the students, and the visionary leadership of the institution. Adding another feather to its cap, KMV proudly announced the recent international on-campus placement of its Hospitality students. This remarkable achievement highlights KMV's strong industry connections and the effectiveness of its placement cell in securing global opportunities for its students. This success is also a shining example of KMV's commitment to equipping students with industry-relevant expertise and preparing them to excel on international platforms. In addition to this, has achieved a major milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rutgers University, USA, one of the world’s leading public research universities. Sh. Chander Mohan extended his heartfelt congratulations to all and reiterated the institution's long-standing commitment to academic excellence and women empowerment through education from the past 140 years. He emphasized that KMV will continue to be a beacon of quality education, fostering an environment where students can achieve their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.
