Jalandhar, May 23, 2026: KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organized a Plantation Drive to spread awareness about the importance of preserving nature and maintaining ecological balance on the occasion of World Biodiversity Day. The activity aimed to sensitize students towards environmental conservation and encourage them to contribute actively towards a greener and healthier planet. Students from 10+1 and 10+2 classes enthusiastically participated in the drive. Various saplings of medicinal, ornamental, and shade-giving plants were planted in the campus. The plantation drive witnessed active involvement from both students and staff members, who worked together with great zeal and dedication. The campus echoed with the spirit of environmental responsibility and collective action towards nature conservation. Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated them to become responsible citizens who care for the environment. She emphasized that small steps like planting trees can make a significant difference in preserving biodiversity and ensuring a sustainable future. She lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet (Dean, Student Welfare), Anand Prabha (In-charge, KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School), Dr. Archana Saini (Head, PG Department of Zoology), Lt. Sufalica Kalia and collegiate team for organizing the event.
