KMV Collegiate School Organizes Visit to Botanical Garden

Students Acquire knowledge about plant diversity
Jalandhar, May 16, 2019: K.M.V Collegiate Sr. Sec. School, Jalandhar’s Department of Environmental Sciences and Biology organized a visit to Botanical garden of the college for the students of 10+1 and 10+2. The motive to organize this visit was to study the diversity in living organisms specially plants. During this visit students were taught about various types of plant verities like medicinal plants, ornamental plants, herbs, shrubs etc. while enjoying the beauty of botanical garden students also visited the lotus pond and gathered information about the importance of lotus plants, protozone. It is worth mentioning here that the botanical garden of the college is a collection of Succulents plants and herb garden. All the plants are accurately labeled and the records are kept for the study of plant taxonomy. The Principal of the college Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the organizers for this initiative.
