Jalandhar, May 17, 2016: K.M.V Collegiate Sr.Sec.School celebrated ‘Achievers’ Day’. On this occasion, KMV felicitated 40 toppers. Principal KMV, Prof Atima Sharma Dwivedi honoured the students who grabbed the top most position in Arts, Science, Commerce faculty. The parents of all the toppers were also invited & felicitated during the Achievers’ Day celebration. They felt elated to receive trophies along with their daughters on this occasion. In her address, Madam Principal welcomed all the proud parents as well as the achievers. She said that it was a real matter of pride for this iconic and heritage institution that the students had performed so well in the board exams. The future of our country depends on these students. Students have confidence in them and they can reach the heights of success. There is no limit for them. She told the parents about the history of the college. Lala Devraj Ji was the founder of this institution and started the women education in 1886. This institution had helped to develop the patriotic feelings among the women of our country at the time of freedom struggle. She said that 5 President and 5 Prime Ministers have visited this heritage institution. She suggested the parents to give opportunities and exposure to their daughters. Girls must be self-dependent in their life and there should be no social pressures on them. Parents should support their daughter so that they can fulfill their dreams. She informed the parents that foundation program are being organized in college and also students are also prepared for the competitive exams.
Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi Principal KMV lauded Mrs. Veena Deepak, Dean Collegiate School and all the teaching faculty for making students excel in board exams. She appreciated Dr. Madhumeet, Dean Student Welfare for organizing the Achievers’ Day in a flawless manner.
