KMV celebrates World Earth Day

Jalandhar, April 22, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated World Earth Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. The celebrations were organised by Department of Science, Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) of KMV & NCC. 
During the celebrations, various activities such as poster making, slogan writing, rangoli, choreography & tree donation etc. were organised for the students. More than 200 students from different departments of the college participated in the celebration with full zeal and enthusiasm. The students through their posters and slogans gave a message of reducing pollution, improving air quality and also to improve surroundings by making the Mother Earth clean & green. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the students & faculty members for this unique initiative. She averred that it is very important that the society understands the importance of environment conservation. She averred that all the students should remain in connect with this type of activities in the future also so that more awareness could be generated for this cause. It is pertinent to mention that KMV’s mentee institute Government College, Ropar sent huge participation in the rangoli & slogan writing competition through online mode. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of the whole organising committee for successfully organising the celebrations.

Team RED09 and RED10 (Alisha sidhu, Arshdeep kaur, Niharika and Riya, Gagan & Jaspreet BA and TD & AT Sem 4th) respectively got 3rd position.
