KMV celebrates National Chemistry Week

Jalandhar, October 27, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Chemistry under the aegis of the Curie Grant celebrated National Chemistry Week. This week, with the theme "The Healing Power of Chemistry," is an awareness campaign that emphasises on the importance of chemistry in everyday life. 

Various activities were organised throughout the week during the celebrations, including Chemiglo Rangoli, ChemQuest Paper Reading, Fun Quiz (Kahoot), and Chem Brainy Quiz. More than 40 students from various states of India enthusiastically participated in an online Rangoli competition, and 100 students from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya showcased their creative skills in various activities. The Paper Reading competition proved helpful in improving the communication and presentation skills, as it encouraged the students to gather information and knowledge on specific topics, and present their findings confidently in front of the audience. Furthermore, participants who successfully completed the Quiz competition received e-certificates. 

Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the participants who showcased their interest in the subject of chemistry by participating in various competitions. She emphasised the importance of such programs being regularly organised for the overall development of students, enabling them not only to exhibit their knowledge in the relevant subjects but also to develop the confidence to face various challenges.
