KMV Celebrates Innovation with WOMENTUM Club Investiture

Jalandhar, November 22, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) hosted the Investiture Ceremony of the WOMENTUM Club, a pioneering initiative under the aegis of KMV’s Innovation Council, dedicated to fostering women-led innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in KMV’s ongoing commitment to empowering young women to become changemakers within their communities and beyond.
The event began with a solemn oath-taking ceremony, during which the newly inducted members pledged to uphold the values of creativity, equity, and social impact. A total of 55 members were formally invested with badges, symbolizing their roles as ambassadors of innovation and inclusive growth.
The following students were appointed to key positions in the WOMENTUM Club:
•    Gyan Kaur (M.Com. FYIP, Sem-V) – President
•    Simarpreet Kaur (M.Com. FYIP, Sem-V) and Rachita Kanjilal (B.Sc. Biotech, Sem-V) – Conveners
•    Preetkamal Kaur (B.Com., Sem-V) and Saloni (B.Sc. Biotech, Sem-V) – Vice Presidents
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi highlighted the transformative power of women’s leadership in shaping a self-reliant and progressive India. She praised the WOMENTUM Club as a dynamic platform for nurturing entrepreneurial mindsets, encouraging grassroots solutions, and integrating academic excellence with societal relevance.
The ceremony also featured an impressive showcase of student-led initiatives, including prototypes, community outreach strategies, and sustainability-driven ideas aligned with national innovation missions. Faculty mentors and KMV-IIC representatives reaffirmed their commitment to supporting capacity-building, mentorship, and collaborative outreach through the club’s activities.
