KMV Gets Infused with a Nationalistic Spirit

KMV Celebrates Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

Jalandhar, August 14, 2025: In a grand celebration of India’s Independence Day, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) embraced the patriotic spirit through a vibrant showcase of student talent and creativity. The event highlighted the unity, resilience, and cultural pride that bind the nation together.

Students took centre stage with a diverse range of artistic expressions — from modelling and face painting to captivating dance performances and heartfelt poetry. Each presentation paid homage to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters while underscoring the importance of safeguarding and nurturing the hard-earned independence. The face painting segment, especially the depiction of Operation Sindoor, drew special admiration from the audience.

Dance performances and poetry recitations beautifully captured the nation’s journey towards progress and unity, with every graceful move and eloquent verse reflecting the students’ unwavering commitment to building a strong, inclusive, and prosperous India.

Wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi affirmed that KMV has always been deeply committed to the cause of national freedom, having actively participated in the Indian freedom struggle. She dedicated the celebration to the freedom of the motherland, while cautioning against “short-intensity wars” in the form of divisive forces and the menace of drug addiction.

Prof. Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare; Dr. Gurjot, Dean, ECA; Ms. Sufalica; and Ms. Geetika for successfully organising the celebrations that infused the campus with nationalistic zeal.
