KMV Celebrates Festival of Teej with Cultural Vibrancy and Enthusiasm
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated the 'Festival of Teej' in the month of Sawan with great vibrancy and enthusiasm. The event was jointly organized by the Post Graduate Department of Punjabi and the Department of Extra-Curricular Activities (E.C.A.).
Jalandhar, August 22, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated the 'Festival of Teej' in the month of Sawan with great vibrancy and enthusiasm. The event was jointly organized by the Post Graduate Department of Punjabi and the Department of Extra-Curricular Activities (E.C.A.).
Extending her wishes to everyone on Teej, Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi shared insights regarding its cultural importance, stating that KMV is an institution deeply connected to its roots and has always been a leader in preserving heritage. Traditional Punjabi folk songs and dances filled the atmosphere with festive colors, while stalls featuring mehendi, attire, jewellery, and the famous Sawan dish kheer-poode transformed the event into a lively fair, drawing enthusiastic participation from the students.
Director Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the organisers for the successful execution of the event.
During the competition, various titles were awarded to the winners: Miss Teej was awarded to Manveer, Giddhe Ki Rani to Muskan Jot, Nakhreeli Mutiyar to Harmanjot and Jasleen, Sunder Paridhan to Navjot and Mehakpreet, Tor Panjaban Di to Hargun and Sukhmanpreet, Saru Varga Kad to Jaspreet, and Tunehari Akkh to Preet.
