Jalandhar, September 22, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always excel in sports activities along with the academics. In an another major achievement, KMV players performed brilliantly & also bagged champion position in various sports competitions organised under district level Khed Mela tournament. KMV’s Kho-Kho under 21, Handball under 21 team, Volleyball under 21-40 age group,  Handball under 21-40 age group secured champion position in district level Khed Mela tournament organised by Punjab Sports Department. KMV’s Manpreet Kaur also secured champion position in high jump and silver medal in triple jump. Shailpreet Kaur also secured bronze medal in triple jump in under- 21 category. Gurjeet Kaur secured silver medal in Shotput in under 21 category, Harwinder Kaur secured bronze medal in 800 metre race and also bagged silver medal in javelin throw, Radha also bagged champion position in Atheletic under 21-40 age category & Ram Kumari secured silver medal in 1500 metre race in under 21-40 age category and also secured silver medal in 5000 metre race. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the team players on their brilliant achievement. She averred that players at KMV are provided many facilities which include free education, hostel, mess & transport facilities. They avail a lot from state of the art infrastructure comprising Gymnasium, Health Club, Swimming Pool and sprawling play grounds. All these exceptional facilities elicit such excellent outcomes. 

Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi also adumbrated that KMV will continue to provide these facilities to the students who continue to prove their mettle in sports arena. Principal also lauded the efforts of Dr Davinder, Baldina and all the coaches namely Narinder Singh, Pardeep Saini, Nirmal Saini, Sanjeev, Gurpreet Singh and Amritpal Singh for this achievement.
