Khelo India Games- Punjab retains supremacy in basketball (girls)

Ludhiana, February 4, 2023: In the 'Khelo India Games' concluded today at Indore (Madhya Pradesh), the girls won the gold medal, maintaining the supremacy of Punjab.  In the final, the Punjab team defeated the Chhattisgarh team by 17 points.

Punjab Basketball Association General Secretary Teja Singh Dhaliwal said that the Punjab girls' team won the title after defeating the Chhattisgarh team by 73-56 points.  It is to be mentioned that Punjab was the defending champion in the girl's category.

In the final, Punjab team's Nadar Kaur scored 25 points, Manmeet Kaur scored 16 points, Kavya Singla scored 14 points, Karanveer Kaur scored 10 points and Komal Preet Kaur scored 8 points.  Teja Singh Dhaliwal congratulated the entire team, coach Saloni, assistant coach Ravinder Gill and manager Aman for this victory.

On this proud achievement, President of Punjab Basketball Association Mr Rajdeep Singh Gill former DGP, Arjan Awardee Parminder Singh Bhandal, Arjan Awardee Sajjan Singh Cheema, Yurinder Singh Hayer, Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar Senior Police Officer, Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal District Public Relations Officer, Suman Sharma Arjan Awardee also congratulated the entire team and management.
