Multiple sporting events being organized for u-17 by Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2022 received enthusiastic response on Friday as thousands of players exhibited their talents during the matches in different 14 blocks of the district.

Ludhiana, September 2, 2022: Multiple sporting events being organized for u-17 by Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2022 received enthusiastic response on Friday as thousands of players exhibited their talents during the matches in different 14 blocks of the district.
The games on second day in MC block were inaugurated by MLAs Ashok Parashar Pappi and Kulwant Singh Sidhu in local Guru Nanak Stadium. Expressing gratitude towards Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his initiative of holding sporting extravaganza to give platform to the youths, MLAs said that these games would play an important role in wiping out the scourge of drugs.
District Sports Officer Ravinder Singh said that the competitions of under-17 (boys/girls) in different 14 blocks were held. He said that in Ghaloti village of Doraha block, Aftab Fateh Singh Bains of Mount International School stood first in discus throw event, in block Khanna, GSS School Chakauhi stood first in tug of war, GSS School Rajewal in Kabaddi (Boys) and Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa School won in Kho-Kho (Girls). Similarly, Spring Dew School, Jagraon stood first in Kho-Kho (Girls).
Under block Machhiwara, in Kho-Kho (Boys and Girls), Moon Light School Hedon Bet stood first while Orient Public School in Volleyball (Boys) and Superior world School in Volleyball (Girls) bagged second and third positions. In Sahnewal block, Aftab Fateh Singh Bains stood first in discus throw.
