Ludhiana, August 24, 2022: Under “Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2022”, the block level matches of multiple sporting events will begin from September 1 to 6 in the district. 

Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik while giving details for this mega sports extravaganza 'Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2022' said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann would kick-start the games from Jalandhar on August 29. 

She said that keeping in mind the enthusiasm of the players, the last date of registration either by visiting www.punjabkhedmela2022.in or in the office of District Sports Officer, Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana has now been extended till August 30, 2022.

She said that the block level matches of multiple sporting events would be held from September 1 to 6 in Ludhiana. She said that for under-14 (boys-girls), matches of Volleyball, Athletics, Football, Kho-Kho would be held on September 1, for under-17 (boys-girls), Kabbadi (circle and national style) on September 2 while for age groups between the age group of 21 and 40, tug of war tournament to be held from September 3 and 4. For the age above than 41 and 50 & above 50, the tournaments of Athletics, Volleyball and Shooting will be organized from September 5 to 6. 

The DC said that the matches would be held at Jathedar Santokh Singh Marding Stadium, Government Senior Secondary School in Mundian Kalan, Kila Raipur Sports Stadium, Mehma Singh Wala Stadium, Sant Ishar Singh Stadium, Sports Ground Mallan, Naresh Chander Stadium in Khanna, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in Machhiwara, Government Senior Secondary School in Malaud, Government Primary School in Somal Khedi, Government Senior Secondary School in Gujjarwal, Raikot Sports Ground, Sahi Sports College in Samrala, Sidhwan Bet Sports Ground, GHC Khalsa College in Gurusar Sudhar and Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana.
