Khanna, Sampla, Ashwani, Grewal mourn Tandon’s demise

Tandon’s death end of an era: BJP leaders Chandigarh, August 14, 2018: Bharatiya Janata Party leaders today mourned the death of Chattisgarh Governor and veteran party leader Balramji Dass Tandon. BJP national vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna, union minister Vijay Sampla, former national secretary Harjit Singh Grewal, former state BJP president Ashwani Sharma and former state party secretary Vineet Joshi extended their heartfelt condolences stating that Tandon’s demise was an end of an era. “Late Balramji Dass Tandon had been a six-time MLA and was among those fortunate senior-most leaders who worked both for the Jan Sangh and the BJP for a long period of time. He was a Yugpurush and an era has ended with his demise. His death is an irreparable loss to the BJP and the nation as a whole and his contributions will always be remembered”, said the BJP leaders in a condolence message issued here today. The BJP leaders prayed that the departed soul rest in heaven. “We earnestly express our hope that God gives strength to the bereaved family to withstand this tragic moment”, they added.
