Khanna Police on High Alert: SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia Conducts Surprise Midnight Inspection of Police Stations and Nakas
Samrala and Machhiwara Sahib Police Stations Inspected; Night Patrolling and Vigilance Intensified, Strict Instructions Issued to Staff
Khanna / Ludhiana, February 23, 2026: In order to maintain a strong law-and-order situation and ensure the safety and security of the general public, Khanna Police remain on high alert. As part of this ongoing effort, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia conducted a surprise inspection of various police stations and checkpoints (Nakas) last night to review security arrangements and operational preparedness.
During the midnight visit, the SSP inspected Samrala and Machhiwara Sahib police stations, where she thoroughly reviewed staff attendance, duty deployment, and overall preparedness. The surprise inspection aimed at ensuring that all officers and personnel remained vigilant, disciplined, and fully committed to their responsibilities, especially during night hours.
Dr. Ahluwalia personally checked the presence of officers and staff, examined the condition of weapons, assessed the availability of safety equipment, and reviewed the functioning of CCTV surveillance systems installed in the police stations. She made it clear that negligence at any level would not be tolerated and warned of strict disciplinary action against any personnel found lax during duty.
The SSP also visited several police checkpoints (nakas) across the area, interacting with on-duty teams and directing them to further strengthen checking procedures. She emphasized strict monitoring of all vehicles and individuals, especially during night hours, and instructed the teams to maintain heightened vigilance to deter any suspicious or unlawful activity.
Special directions were issued to intensify night patrolling and reinforce barricading at sensitive points to prevent any untoward incidents. The SSP stressed that proactive policing, combined with continuous field presence, is essential to maintaining public safety and deterring criminal elements.
Commending the dedication and alertness of Khanna Police staff, Dr. Ahluwalia stated that the police force was performing their duty with full commitment and professionalism. She motivated the personnel to remain alert at all times, stating that public safety remains the top priority of the police department. She further directed that night patrolling be increased and extra caution be exercised in vulnerable and sensitive areas.
The SSP reiterated that any attempt to disrupt law and order in the district would be dealt with firmly. She appealed to residents to extend full cooperation to the police and urged them to immediately inform the nearest police station or the police control room if they notice any suspicious activities.
