Kewal Singh Dhillon Appointed BJP Punjab President

Ludhiana, May 28, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Kewal Singh Dhillon as the President of the party’s Punjab unit with immediate effect.
The appointment was announced by BJP National President Nitin Nabin through an official statement issued by the party.
The appointment has come into force immediately. The announcement was signed by Arun Singh, who serves as the BJP National General Secretary and Headquarters In-charge.
The move is being seen as an important organisational decision by the BJP ahead of upcoming political activities in Punjab.
Meanwhile, Dhillon’s predecessor Sunil Jakhar wrote on his social media account (X): 
“Serving as the President of Punjab BJP has been a matter of great honour and responsibility. The trust reposed by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the guidance received throughout from Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji have been a constant source of strength during this journey.
The organizational learning and direction received from Shri B. L. Santhosh ji, along with the encouragement and support of Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji and the current National President Shri Nitin Nabin ji, will always remain deeply valued.
Punjab BJP’s strength has always rested in its karyakartas, leaders and supporters across the state, whose commitment and cooperation made this tenure meaningful and memorable.
