Kewal Dhaliwal’s play `Main Ro Na Lavan Ikk War’ made evening emotional

The 15-day Natyam Theater Festival entered into the 10th day in Bathinda
Bathinda, October 10, 2021: The 10th evening of the 15-day Natyam drama festival running at Balwant Gargi Open Air Theater, Bathinda, was organized in collaboration with Punjab Sangeet Natak Academy. In which the play 'Main Ro Na Lavan Ikk War' based on a story written by Waryam Sandhu was staged under the direction of renowned playwright and director Kewal Dhaliwal. The play put light on problems of poor and scheduled caste families of the society in a different way. Kewal Dhaliwal said that the protagonist of his play belongs to a poor and Scheduled Caste family, due to some mental retardation; he is in a false belief that he is the son of film actor Dharmendra and keeps on claiming various illogical concepts. Following this, the play raises various serious issues like poverty, caste, thinking of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, farming debts throughout. During the 10th evening of the drama festival, a play-book 'Kis Thagg Ne Lutya Shehar Mera' written by Kewal Dhaliwal and published by People's Forum Bargadi was also released by President of Natyam Sudarshan Gupta, Director Kirti Kripal, Journalist Gurprem Singh Lehry, and team.
