Kejriwal insulting Punjab: Chugh
Senior BJP leader Tarun Chugh.

Chandigarh: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for trying to shut down thermal power plants in Punjab on the pretext of saving Delhi.

In a statement Chugh said Kejriwal had always been plotting against the interests of Punjab and now he was trying to play a nefarious politics in Punjab to bring the state to the ruins.

While thanking the Supreme Court for rejecting the PIL filed by the Kejriwal government for closing the thermal plants in Punjab, Chugh said at a moment when Punjab was fighting the power crisis the Kejriwal government's intervention could only be termed as "heinous and criminal".

Chugh called upon people of Punjab to reject Kejriwal's AAP comprehensively in the coming Assembly elections in the state. "Kejriwal has done a serious insult to Punjab and Punjab must pay him back," he said.

Chugh said it was intriguing that on the one hand the Kejriwal government had been claiming that pollution has come down, on the other hand it has been filing court cases against the neighbouring states.
