Keerthy Suresh Turns Tongue-Twister Pro in Playful New Video for Prime Video’s Uppu Kappurambu

What do an old Telugu poem, a cheeky challenge, and a spunky village head have in common? Keerthy Suresh’s latest video for Uppu Kappurambu has all the answers. In a playful new video released by Prime Video, Keerthy channels her eccentric character, Apoorva, with full flair to reveal the surprising origin of the film’s title – an old Telugu poem – with a tongue-twisting twist. With her signature sass and sparkle, Keerthy not only recites the poem under five seconds but also fires up a tongue-twister challenge for fans. Lighthearted yet sharp, and completely in tune with the offbeat tone of the film, the video is a delightful sneak peek into the eccentric world of Uppu Kappurambu.

Beyond the fun and games, the actor shares insights into what makes the film so close to her heart. She highlights, “Uppu Kappurambu is a fun and quirky coming-of-age comedy and it is a different kind of world that you have never witnessed before. The film is based on some important societal issues. From the shoot, there are some scenes that I really liked which are very beautiful and are very close to my heart. The character of Apoorva is one of my favourite and most cherished characters in whatever I have done all these years. There is a quirky element to her character arc. It’s very fun and I have never done a comedy like this. This one is very special for me,” shares Keerthy.

Directed by Ani. I.V. Sasi and written by Vasanth Maringanti, Uppu Kappurambu is produced by Radhika Lavu under the banner of Ellanar Films Pvt Ltd. Set in a fictional South Indian village dealing with an absurd civic crisis – a shortage of burial plots – the highly anticipated film is brought to life by National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh, alongside Suhas, Babu Mohan, Shatru, and Talluri Rameshwari in key roles.

From tongue-twisters to twisted politics, Uppu Kappurambu is all set to serve comedy with a side of satire. Don’t miss the madness when the film premieres on July 4, exclusively on Prime Video in India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
