Hyderabad, June 25 (IANS) Telangana Congress chief A. Revanth Reddy alleged on Sunday that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has surrendered to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to save the secret assets unearthed during Income Tax raids on his family companies.

Revanth Reddy claimed that K.T. Rama Rao visited Delhi as the chair of his father and Chief Minister KCR was shaking following the I-T raids.

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President said that KTR’s visit to Delhi was not for roads in the Cantonment area or for expansion of the Metro Rail project, but it was intended to save the secret assets unearthed during the recent I-T raids on their family firms.

“The visit was not for the state’s interests. He (KTR) went to Delhi following the I-T raids,” he said.

He also alleged that details of several secret assets came to light during the raids, but KTR managed things to ensure that they are not covered by the media.

Revanth Reddy said that no matter how many times KTR and KCR visit Delhi, people of Telangana will not trust them.

He also alleged that KCR looted Telangana during the last 10 years.

He then sought to know why Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who opened investigation against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor policy case, is silent on the loot of Rs 1 lakh crore by KCR.

The Congress leader also said that the bond between BJP and BRS is unbreakable. He said BJP leaders who met BJP President J.P. Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Saturday should be under no illusion that BJP will sever ties with the BRS.

“The bond between the two parties is unbreakable,” he remarked.

He was referring to the meeting of dissident BJP leaders Eatala Rajender and Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy with the party’s central leaders to demand BJP to take tough decisions against the KCR government’s corruption.

Revanth Reddy told the two leaders that no matter how many rounds of Delhi they make, the BJP’s stand towards BRS will not change.

He also claimed that only Congress can provide a better alternative to BRS in Telangana.
