Chandigarh, October 23, 2026: All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal will visit Punjab on October 26, for a one-day tour. His visit is considered significant from the organisational perspective of the Punjab Congress. During the visit, he will hold a series of marathon meetings throughout the day with senior state Congress leaders to discuss preparations for the upcoming 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, the party’s strategy and organisational activities.
According to a press release issued here on Friday by the party, the meetings will focus on further strengthening the Punjab Congress organisation, improving coordination among party leaders and workers, and accelerating preparations for the forthcoming elections. The key objectives of Venugopal’s visit will be to review organisational work, exchange views with senior leaders and infuse fresh energy into the party organisation across the state. These meetings are expected to help shape the direction of the Punjab Congress’s upcoming political and organisational activities.
