Kareena Kapoor shares throwback of Dharmendra and Raj Kapoor, says ‘Forever in power’

Mumbai, Nov 24 (IANS) Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan joined the industry in mourning Dharmendra’s passing, sharing a vintage photograph of the legendary actor with her late grandfather Raj Kapoor.
Kareena took to her Instagram stories, where she shared two black and white pictures to pay a tribute. The first image had the two late stars hugging each other, which Kareena captioned with a “red heart.”
She then shared a happy picture featuring Dharmendra and Raj Kapoor greeting each other with a big smile.
For the caption, she wrote: “Forever in power”.
Dharmendra, who passed away in Mumbai, will posthumously be seen in 'Ikkis', directed by ace director Sriram Raghavan. The octogenarian made his debut with 1960 film Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere. Most recently he was seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.
Talking about Raj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, he is considered one of the greatest and most influential actors and filmmakers in the history of Indian cinema and has been referred to as The Greatest Showman of Indian Cinema and as the Charlie Chaplin of Indian Cinema.
He was inspired by Charlie Chaplin and played characters based on The Tramp in films such as Awaara, Shree 420 and Mera Naam Joker. His performance in Awaara was ranked among the top-ten greatest performances of all time in world cinema by Time magazine.
Meanwhile, Kareena is making headlines for reuniting with the Kapoor family for the Netflix special “Dining with the Kapoors.” The hour-long special brings together cousins, siblings, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and in-laws for a lively and candid celebration of family bonds. Directed by Smriti Mundhra and created by Armaan Jain, “Dining with the Kapoors” offers a glimpse into the family’s cherished traditions.
One moment from the special showed Kareena Kapoor calling the family “funny, loving, and united,” while also highlighting their shared love for food. It was revealed that Armaan Jain had organized the luncheon to commemorate what would have been Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary.
