Karan Patel makes his OTT debut with MX Player's Raktanchal 2

With an acting career spanning over two decades, Karan Patel has become a household name and has been winning hearts across the country with his stellar performances. After carving a niche for himself in the television industry, Karan is all set to make his OTT debut on MX Player. The actor will woo audiences as a highly decorated Police Officer named Himanshu Patnaik in MX Original Series - Raktanchal 2, which releases on 11th February.

Elaborating on this move, Karan Patel said, “After working in the television industry for a long time, I was keen to explore the OTT space, but I was waiting for the right opportunity. Digital content has strong and exciting storylines that gives actors many opportunities to showcase their versatility as well as challenge ourselves with interesting characters.”

He further adds on making his OTT debut with Raktanchal 2, “When I read the script of the series,it caught my fancy because of range of emotions that my role demanded it helped me better myself as an actor. Its been a great experience working with cast and crew and am sure MX will do wonders in presenting it well."

Directed by Ritam Srivastav, Raktanchal 2 is a 9 episodic high-octane narrative that stars Nikitin Dheer, Kranti Prakash Jha, Mahie Gill, Ashish Vidyarthi and Soundarya Sharma in pivotal roles.

The intriguing trailer highlights how political equations are about to change as these power-hungry adversaries set their eyes on becoming the new CM. Ramanand Rai, a senior politician, has powerful competition from Waseem Khan who was one of the big tender mafias of Purvanchal and has now entered active politics, while Sarawasti Devi - a sole woman representative of the state also wants to stake claim to the coveted CM chair. Suddenly, one day, the media announces Vijay Singh is alive which throws everyone’s plans off track.
