Jalandhar, September 16, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) commemorated World Ozone Day. The event was organized by Department of Zoology & Environmental Sciences.
Students designed posters and also organised two sessions aimed to spread awareness about the critical role of the ozone layer in sustaining life on earth, to discuss the science behind ozone depletion and to explore global efforts and technological innovations for its recovery and second session was an enlightening and thought-provoking session that enhance scientific awareness and inspired the audience to contribute towards protecting our atmosphere. Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the students for joining the cause and asked them to connect to such initiatives in the future too. She lauded the efforts of Dean, Student Welfare Dr. Madhumeet Kaur, Dr. Archana Saini, Dr. Mandeep Kaur Lt. Sufalica Kalia for sensitizing the students and making the event a big success.
