Kamal Shama hails Sri Akal Takhat Sahib decision

Chandigarh, July 26, 2014: State BJP chief Kamal Sharma has welcomed the move of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to ban the Sikh conferences scheduled to be held in Amritsar on July 27 and in Karnal on July 28.
Hailing the decision taken by the Akal Takht Sahib Jatehdar, Sharma said the orders of the Jathedar has not only diffused the escalating tension erupting between two states Punjab and Haryana over a separate Gurudwara Parbhandak Committee constituted by Haryana Government but has also provided reprieve to the people of both the states who were apprehending a big deadlock between the two states after these conferences.
“Such a controversial matter should be solved by the dialogue not by taking tough postures. BJP appeals to all the stakeholders in this issue to come out on a solution through dialogue so that the social fabric of the society is not harmed,” said Sharma.
