Kalia expresses deep shock and grief over sudden demise of Badal 

Jalandhar, April 26, 2023: BJP National Executive Member and Former Minister Punjab Manoranjan Kalia has expressed deep shock and grief over the sudden demise of Former Chief Minister Punjab Parkash Singh Badal. 

In a statement here today, Kalia has said that the two generations of Kalia family had the opportunity to work with Badal. His Father Late Manmohan Kalia also worked as Cabinet Minister in Badal Ministry in 70s in his first Ministry and he also had the opportunity to work as a Cabinet Minister with Badal twice, he added. 

Adding, he said Badal was a visionary personality who throughout his life worked for the upliftment of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat. 

Badal was ever ready for firefighting whenever he felt there is a chance of scratch on the communal harmony.

Meeting people with a smiling face and to be in time had become the traits of Badal, said Kalia, adding that Badal had a long political career starting with a Sarpanch to five times Chief Minister and Union Minister. 

Badal was a statesman and a noble politician, he remarked.
