Journalist Vijay Simha and others to address seminar at Ludhiana on October 19
Ludhiana, October 18, 2013: The rising crime is a matter of concern for all the citizens. All sorts of crime is on the rise, right from petty crimes like road rage, chain snatchings, thefts, burglaries, dacoities to heinous crimes such as rape, kidnapping and murders.
Women, children and elderly are most vulnerable. Life of common peace loving citizens is becoming unsafe. As a result of violent incidents the trauma related medical problems are on the rise. Increasing socio economic gaps in the society, easy availability of drugs and failure of the justice delivery system in giving stern punishment to the perpetrators the crime has worsened the situation.
To debate on this issue, the Social Thinkers Forum and Lok Sahit Manch Ludhiana are jointly organising a seminar on the theme `Rising Crime Rate - Causes and Solutions’ on October 19, starting at 3 pm for two hours at Punjabi Bhawan, Ludhiana.
