Joining of new members in the party, is its “internal” matter: Shekhawat

Ferozepur, December 31, 2021: Union Cabinet Minister Gajender Singh Shekhawat refused to divulge any details regarding the allocation of tickets by the BJP and its alliance Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) and Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt). The Union Cabinet Minister was here to take stock of the situation ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to this border town on January 5.
While replying to a question during a press conference, Shekhawat said that joining of new members in the party, is its “internal” matter. “I don’t need to discuss this in front of media”, said Shekhawat. “All those who support the party’s ideology and vision to make India a rich and prosperous country and believe in its leadership, are welcome to join the party”, he further added.
While replying to another question regarding allocation of tickets, Shekhawat said that the party along with its alliances, have constituted a committee which will take decision on seat sharing and the joint manifesto. “It’s too early to discuss these things”, he told media persons.
While replying to another question, Shekhawat said that the parliamentary board will decide about the CM face after the elections
Regarding the PGI Satellite Centre, Shekhawat said whatever project is conceived by the party, is completed within a specific time period. “I assure you that this time the work on PGI Satellite centre will be completed in time. Due to court cases, the project was delayed”, he added.
While slamming the Congress MLAs, State BJP President Ashwani Sharma said the MLAs try to take the credit of those projects, which are not even under their jurisdiction. While targeting the Congress MLA Parminder Singh Pinki, Sharma said that not only in Ferozepur but in the entire Punjab, the sitting Congress MLAs try to  take the credit of centre funded schemes. “The Congress MLA should praise the Central government for such projects but they always try to take credit by befooling innocent people”, said Sharma.
It is pertinent to mention here that PM Modi will be coming to this border city on January 5 to lay the foundation stone of much awaited PGI Satellite centre. Already Modi has visited thrice in the past to this border district.
In 2015, Modi had visited at National Martyr’s Memorial on March 23. Later, the same year, PM Modi had come to this border town on the occasion of Diwali during which he had paid tributes to the heroes of 1965 Indo-Pakistan war at Barqi Square and later interacted with the jawans over cup of tea. Earlier in 2007, Modi had visited Hussaniwala on March 2 to attend religious discourse held by Sant Murari Bapu near the memorial here as the CM of Gujrat
