JKLU hosts ‘Parichay 2026’, Celebrates Talent Beyond Academics

Jaipur, August 31, 2026: JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) welcomed its newest cohort of students to ‘Parichay 2026’, its annual freshers’ event, with an evening of performances, music, fashion and celebration of talent.
The event marked the next chapter in the students’ journey at JKLU after ‘Aarambh 2026’, the university’s elaborate induction programme held last month. While ‘Aarambh’ introduced students to the university’s academic ecosystem, facilities, opportunities and support systems, ‘Parichay’ offered them a different kind of platform. It encouraged them to step beyond academics and showcase the many other dimensions of their personalities.
The evening began with addresses by Vice Chancellor Dr. Vijaysekhar Chellaboina and senior academic leaders, followed by a series of student-centred activities, including dance performances, a ramp walk, live music by the band “Others & Poetry”, prize distribution and a DJ night.
“At JKLU, we encourage our students to pursue their passions, express themselves freely and engage with opportunities beyond the classroom. Events such as ‘Parichay’ are an important part of that journey because holistic development happens when academic learning is complemented by creativity, curiosity, collaboration and self-expression,” said Dr. Vijaysekhar Chellaboina, Vice Chancellor, JKLU.
Among the First-Year students, Aniruddh Vardhan Singh was adjudged “Mr. Fresher” and Gorangi Pareek was named “Ms. Fresher.” Namay Gupta and Priyam Goyal were crowned “Dance King” and “Dance Queen” respectively. Pranshway Purohit bagged the “Show Stopper” title.
‘Parichay’ reflected the university’s belief that students are more than their academic identities. They are individuals with diverse interests, hobbies, talents and aspirations, and these varied capabilities contribute to the development of a well-rounded personality.
JKLU, an initiative of the 140-year-old JK Group, is at the forefront of innovation, blending academia with industry through its interdisciplinary programmes in design, engineering and management.
